callagenix process description

There are four main steps in the process of setting up and running Callagenix services:

  1. Register
  2. Build
  3. Deploy
  4. Run

step 1: register

registering for callagenix services

The registration process for Callagenix requires that you enter a username, a valid email address and a memorable piece of information.

Callagenix will authenticate the username (or account name) that you choose and will send you a system-generated password to the email address you entered. The reason you should also enter a memorable piece of information is in case you forget your password. If this happens you can be sent your password through email if you can supply your correct account name and memorable information.

Once you have received the password you can then click on the link in the email to log in to the main administration site. Since the password is system generated it is not particularly easy to remember and it is suggested you change it once you have logged in.

logging in

Logging in to the Callagenix site is very easy. Simply enter your account name and password and you will be transferred to the service administration site. If you have forgotten your password then follow the link to the form requesting your account name and memorable information. Once you have submitted this form your password will be sent to you via email.

step 2: build

This step is the most time-consuming part of the Callagenix process. You will need to:

  1. Create your service
  2. Edit the flow, prompts and options of your service
  3. Test the changes you have made

step 3: deploy

This stage allows you to 'publish' your service on live numbers. Although the service you created in Step 2 is operational it is only available on a test telephone number and PIN code provided by Callagenix. Before you can deploy your service you will probably need to (depending on the number type and service) buy an operating voucher. These are rather like 'Pay as you Go' vouchers that pre-pay for your service for a particular amount. The vouchers are available in differing amounts and it is up to you which one you decide to buy. Some services will not operate, however, unless your account has available funds which are increased by purchasing operating vouchers. Finally, get the type of number you want your service to operate on and attach it to the service.

During the deployment stage you will:

  1. Get a number for your service
  2. Add operating funds to your account
  3. Link your number to your service

step 4: run

At this stage your service can be called on the number you wish by anyone. Simply publish the number in the normal way and you calls will be processed as per the method described in the service you attached to it. You can check your call statistics on line as well as modify the services as and when you wish.
