mail boxes

Mail boxes are used within the Callagenix environment to store and forward items of information which have been generated by the services you create. As a Callagenix account holder you can create as many mail boxes as you wish. As a general rule it is useful to create one for each service you create.

The types of information currently supported by Callagenix are voice messages and faxes. In addition to storing the message however, mail boxes also hold information relating to what should be done with any message.

Voice mail can also be retrieved over the telephone using your Voice Mail Retrieval Service.

Please note that messages are not stored indefinitely in your mail box. Currently, unread messages stored for 14 days and opened ones for 3 days but this may be subject to change.

creating a new mail box

Each new account has one mailbox created with default settings ready for you to attach to a service. If you wish to create another one then click Add a new Mail Box in the main mail box screen.

The screen displayed will prompt you for the name of the mail box, which we suggest should be descriptive, and an email address to send alerts and messages to. The mail box's edit screen will then be shown, which allows you to set up all its other parameters.

message list

This is a list of all messages stored in your mail box, accessed by clicking on the name of the box in the main mail box screen. For each message, click to show message details, to view Fax or to listen to call recordings or to listen to voice message.

If you have a lot of messages you can change the order in which they are shown by clicking on the appropriate column headings: Type, Received, Service, Caller and Opened.

Messages can be deleted by selecting them and clicking the Delete Selected Messages button.
