purchasing products from Callagenix

what is a basket?

A 'basket' is analogous to a shopping basket in a store. The basket contains all of the Callagenix 'products' that you are thinking of purchasing during this particular visit to the Callagenix 'store'. Just like a real store you do not have to take your basket to the checkout - you can simply abandon the transaction. The items in your basket only become allocated to your account once you have gone through the checkout process and paid for them.

You can always view the contents of your basket by clicking View Basket at the top right of the screen.

going through the checkout

When your basket contains all the items you wish to purchase, you can proceed to the checkout by clicking Proceed to Payment on the basket screen.

The next screen gives the Callagenix terms and conditions for the items you are about to purchase, which must be agreed to before continuing any further.

The following screen is the checkout, where you give us your credit card details:

When you click Continue to final step you will be presented with a confirmation page, listing all your purchases, billing address and credit card details for you to check. Any or all of these details can be changed, even at this point. When you are happy with this page click Press here to Confirm My Order, and the transaction will be carried out.

what happens next

Your credit card details will be validated on-line. If valid, the following events will happen almost immediately:

You will be sent an email confirming the transaction

Security Code?

The card security code is a unique three or four-digit number printed on your debit/credit card. This number is not embossed on the card and hence not printed on receipts - making it difficult for anyone other than the genuine cardholder, to know it. Some card issuers refer to this number as the 'Card Security Code' others as the 'personal security code' and others as 'Card Verification Value'.

Some cards, many UK-issued cards for example, have a three-digit number printed at the top of the signature strip on the reverse of the card.

Others, American Express cards for example, have a four-digit number printed on the front of the card, above the account number.

Billing Address?

Please enter the address to which your card statement is currently sent. It is essential that you keep your Card Issuer informed of any changes of address. Your billing address must match the address held by your Card Issuer exactly. If it does not, we may decline your purchase altogether.

Fraud Prevention?

Callagenix, in conjunction with your card-issuer, ask for security code and address information in order to protect cardholders against misuse of their card.
